Sulphur Springs Vet Clinic uses X-rays in a variety of cases. In house X-rays allow us to quickly get answers about what is going on inside an animal. X-rays are important tools for the detection bone fractures, bladder stones, for finding and assessing tumors, or for locating foreign material your pet may have ingested. X-rays are also used to aid in decision making regarding Cesarean Section surgery. They allow us to see the size and number of fetuses present. In order to have a quality x-ray film your pet must remain motionless for the amount of time the exposure it occurring. Some x-rays require that the dog or cat be completely relaxed for a particular view or procedure. Depending on the x-ray needed and the animal we may need to lightly anesthetize your dog or cat for the procedure. Before performing x-rays we will discuss the reasons and appropriate applications with you. You may rest assured we will treat your treasured companion with knowledge, compassion, and concern as we work with you to devise a treatment plan. |
