The veterinarians and staff of Sulphur Springs Veterinary Clinic goal is to provide caring, and competent surgery with minimal discomfort for your pet. We provide the safest and most caring surgical environment possible. Our surgical suite is equipped with state of the art heart rate, respiration rate, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure monitors to ensure the safety of your dog or cat. Patients are constantly monitored before, during, and after surgical procedures, by our qualified surgical technicians, Prior to surgery, your pet receives a physical examination to identify any existing medical conditions that might present a surgical risk. Not all problems are detected during an examination. We strongly recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing. These tests give us a more complete picture of your pet's health and allow us to create an anesthetic protocol tailored specifically for each animal. (Click to read more about ANESTHESIA) Pain management is a part of our pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic and medical protocol. Prior to your pet's surgery you will be consulted about pain control measures available. We urge you to agree to your pet's receiving pain control medications, as we deem necessary, to keep it comfortable. Examples of the surgical procedures we perform include:
